1. The software

ShortsFactory helps creators prepare approved content, review publication settings, and publish media to explicitly connected social-media accounts. It is currently a private, local application, not a public SaaS. YouTube is one supported integration in a broader publishing workflow.

2. Content rights and authorization

Users may only publish media they own or are legally authorized to publish. Authorization to access a YouTube channel or another platform account does not grant ownership of videos or other content, and does not replace permission from the relevant rights holders.

Users are responsible for complying with applicable law, including intellectual-property law, and for obtaining all rights and permissions needed for their media, audio, images, and other included material.

3. YouTube and other platform obligations

By using ShortsFactory's YouTube integration, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You must also comply with the YouTube Community Guidelines and other applicable YouTube policies.

Users must not use ShortsFactory to circumvent YouTube restrictions, quotas, safeguards, API rules, or platform controls. Users must also comply with the terms and policies of any other publishing platform they connect.

4. Publication decisions and metadata

Before using YouTube Direct, you must affirmatively accept the current ShortsFactory Privacy Policy and Terms notice. ShortsFactory records the policy version, links, environment, and acceptance time. A material policy identifier or configuration change requires renewed acceptance.

Users remain responsible for the destination account, selected media, title, description, tags, settings, and each publication decision. Every publishing action requires a user-controlled publication plan, metadata review and preflight, approval, and explicit final upload confirmation.

The application currently enforces private-only YouTube uploads while the Google/YouTube API project awaits approval. Public/unlisted publishing and scheduling remain disabled by application policy until corresponding Google approval/configuration exists. Users must not bypass these restrictions.

5. Third-party service availability

ShortsFactory is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free third-party API availability. Google, YouTube, and other providers may change their services, permissions, limits, or availability, which may affect connection, upload, processing, or reconciliation.

6. Independent third-party services

Google and YouTube are independent third-party services. ShortsFactory is not endorsed, sponsored, or operated by Google or YouTube. References to YouTube identify the integration and do not imply approval, certification, or partnership.

7. Privacy

The ShortsFactory Privacy Policy explains current data access, use, local storage, sharing, retention, security, and the distinct controls for authorization revocation and local YouTube API-data deletion, the 29-day API-data lifecycle, and the closed-application/powered-off and externally controlled copy limitations.
